I want to preface this review with a couple of things. First I am a computer tech, therefore I am very particular about the promises claimed by technology( i’m sure most of you are as well) and I am a tech gadget nut, but only so far as having the stuff that lives up to the claims. I’m not necessarily the type of person that has to have everything the minute it hits the shelves.
Now for the review.

I am also going to say that I have bought the keyboard for the tablet. I am typing this review with it.
I have just gotten the tablet and checked for a software update. It had one available that was also firmware. It updated to honeycomb 3.2 with no glitches, since i have not tried it out prior to honeycomb 3.2, i am unaware of any major issues this update might fix. It still does not support netflix because i have not rooted it. I can wait a little while on that because it does stream amazon content just fine through flash. I am very impressed by the streaming of video over internet connection..no playback problems as far as stuttering . The video does not look hd quality, but it is not bad.
The keyboard also found a firmware update as soon as I plugged it in…again no problems with the update. The keys are responsive and the touchpad does not seem to be overly sensative or twitchy. It is accurate and smooth.
I have tried other tablets that only had android 2.2..I have rooted that tablet to unlock its potential and I have to say that my experience with this table while still roorted is better than the rooted viewsonic g-tab..only for the sheer availability of new options.

I was also impressed with the ability to plug a SD card into the keyboard(from my camera) and copy everything from it to an external hard drive that has already been formatted for windows. No problems at all and was very fast in the transfer.
Additionally, by usb mouse Logitech 305 worked as soon as I plugged it into the keyboard.

As far as the Asus Transformer without the keyboard, again the performance is very good and it is fun to play games, check facebook, twitter and read books via the kindle software or the nook software. The tablet comes with an office program that seems to be pretty full featured, however, i have not written any extensive papers on it yet. Nor have I tried to open an excel or powerpoint. I will update this review when I get to that.
All in all, I am impressed with the quality of the build. It does not seem flimsy and I have felt no flexing. Also I have not seen any light leakage.
The screen is bright and is good for viewing ant any angle. It worked decently in bright sunlight, like any other color screen.
I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially with the keyboard. It is not a replacement for a fully functioning laptop that can run programs like adobe photoshop and such..but for checking email, facebook, and more complicated uses such as file tranfers from one type of media to another ( for photo archives while on the road), music and video streaming, it is certainly as good if not better than a netbook. I know I will be carrying this to school much more than my big laptop.
Hopefully the firmware upgrade for the keyboard will fix some of the battery draining issues that I have read about. I will update when I have more usage.

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101-A1 10.1-Inch Tablet Review

Everyone that sees my tablet is impressed by it, whether it’s the keyboard dock, the ips screen, or the smoothness of movies or video games. Asus Eee Pad Transformer is an eye catcher.

I use it at work to remote into my desktop while in meetings. I use it at home to control my TV. I use it outside to read books, play games, or just check the web. I’ve even used it to remote into my desktop and play world of warcraft (it was playable, good enough for running around, auction house, would not want to do a raid with it though).

This ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101-A1 is my 2nd tablet. I’ve also owned an android phone and 2 iphones. I don’t consider myself to be a “fanboy” and try to give each technology it’s fair chance. The transformer is easily the best tech toy I’ve owned in a long time.

ASUS Eee PC 1001PX-EU27-WT is a great netbook with a comfortable keyboard. I am a software developer for a living and use this netbook when I want to sit on the couch and do some coding. We also plug out TV into it and watch Hulu. Asus makes a great product. Highly recommend.

Better than IPAD. I have had this ASUS Eee Slate EP121  for about two weeks now,I love this machine. everybody who has seen this wants to get one. I’m No computer expert, I wanted to get this mainly to use as a laptop. I upgraded windows microsoft office 2010 to get the one note. Other reviews has been very detail. Thanks. You can Not compared this to An IPAD this is a real computer. I take my work home with me. I take notes at work during meetings and convert it to text. I have 126 GB SD card. I Added a swift-point mouse. This is the best of both worlds. I can watch movies, search the web, do my work at home . Battery time is not an issue with me. Most of my meetings are less than 3 hours anyway. The Rest of the time it is plugged in. I own An IPAD and that is given to my 2 year old daughter. That tells you An Ipad is an expensive toy. She use the ipad to play games, watch cartoons. I have nothing bad to say. The ASUS Eee Slate EP121  price is steep but well worth it.

This ASUS Eee PC 1001PXD-EU17-BU is by far the best purchase I’ve made this year, an overall good investment. I’ve only had it a few weeks but am SO HAPPY ! It’s beautiful. Lightweight, portable, good for popping open at your corner cafe to surf the web, and write emails, update my blog, site pics etc. I don’t have music, mp3s on it to leave space free, I do have some photos but still not too much. It’s perfect for the simpleness of just getting on the internet while you’re on-the-go and handling minor small business/entrepreneur stuff. * One con: Tried recording video on the built in webcam, not good for that at all.

Great media center The other reviewers are right, this unit is extremely easy to set up. Everything “just works” when you play it. The only problem I’ve had was sharing from Windows 7 shares. There’s a pretty easy work around you can get from the O!Play forums, though. I’m sure they’ll address it in a firmware update soon, too. Above and beyond that, it’s played everything I’ve thrown at it. Great device.

Apple TV killer I love Asus products and this does not dissapoint. I owned an Apple TV device and cannot compare the 2. reason is that ATV is very limited and I had to throw
in 3rd party apps/hacks to get it to work which was not always stable. This O!Play plays everything I have including ISO. I do like the simplicity of the screen on the O!Play but however this also becomes a bit of an issue. O!play does not pull down any graphics or movie details and everything is displayed in a SAMBA file directory format. Not very friendly to folks not into computers. Also do not like the fact you need to keep on going into a shortcut and choosing the location of your videos/files.

I Really Like my Little ASUS Netbook I studied different models quite a lot be for selecting the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-PU1X. I like having both Wi-Fi and wired network jack.
The BlueTooth capability is great and mainly use with a Logitec Bluetooth mouse M/N: M-RCQ142 bought at the same time. The touch pad is pretty good but the bluetooth mouse is nice if you have much to do.
I got the 2Gig memory upgrade but it seems to work just fine with the supplied 1Gig RAM.
Battery life is great and it seems to charge fast as well. The only concern is charger connection mentioned by others. It does seem a little delicate. I would definately buy this item again.

Amazing little box So far I have use the notebook/netbook for over 6 hours without re-charging and it still shows in excess of 5 hours remaining. Great for taking to meetings were power may not be available. Light weight, fast, great connectivity. The 3/4 keyboard is very well made, nice feel to the key press and the full sized right shift button is great! I have the 2 Gig memory upgrad and have loaded MS Office 2007 with no problems. So far I have nothing but good things to say about this little box. If you can affort the few extra bucks this is the only one to consider. Amazon was great, the product was the best price, fast shipping, and received as promissed.
