Expensive IMO, but worth it

20+ dollars for a water bottle, crazy right! Well I have to admit I was a little skeptical but SIGG has been around for a few years and are known in the outdoor community for high quality products, so I bought one. I’m totally impressed mostly with the liner they have on the inside. I make a shake for breakfast (which contains milk), and then wash it out and put water for the rest of the day. No taste what so ever in the water from the morning shake! Simply just washed it out with some hot water and I’m good. The construction is top notch lid threads are precise and seal 100% (unlike cheap ones). The lid also has a metal loop that is easy to get a finger in or attach it to a carabineer etc.. The bottle also has been extruded with ridges for a grip, which if you’ve had the other ones that are slick, when they condensate it’s pretty tough to hold on tight. Overall you get what you pay for!

Awesome water bottle

Super cool look, But more importantly, it keeps cold liquids cold during my heated 1 1/2 hr Yoga class! I also really like how you can have the same water sitting there for days and it does not get that yucky stale smell that other water bottles get. Just make sure you double check that the lid is screwed all the way on. I have drank from it and only put the lid on enough for a couple threads to engage and forgot so ended up dumping water all over inside my bag. More user error, I suppose!

Great Alternative to Plastic

I bought this bottle for two reasons. One was because I did not like having tons of empty plastic bottles lying around until I could recycle them (usually forgetting to do so) and the second was to try and make sure I got a solid intake of water everyday. The idea here is that at the end of the day if I arrived home with a nearly empty water bottle, I had at least a liter of water for the day, nice!

As for the actual Sigg bottle, I absolutely love it. I keep in on the side of my backpack and it fits nice and snug. I would recommend checking out the dimensions of the bottles on Sigg’s website depending on whether you want to stash it somewhere or not. The build quality is top notch and it is very easy to clean as well. The cap holds tight to the bottle well and has not leaked in the slightest. I’ve also put juice in it before and would recommend a cleaning afterward to avoid buildup on the innards of the container. One thing worth noting is if I do not clean it periodically (everyday or every other day), the water contained in it takes on a metallic taste. Lastly, since the outer surface is not completely smooth, it allows for a better grip.

To sum up, overall this is a fantastic product. If you are cool with drinking tap water or have a filter, this will save you from having to purchase bottled water from the store. It will serve you well for quite a while if you treat it with a little care.
