Works great

I use our Vicks humidifier every night with our little one. I purchased this to keep the tank clean. There isn’t any other way to clean the tank, so you just drop it in and let it do its work. It is very inexpensive for the use you get out of it. Since I got this, I haven’t had to change the filter as often. I change it every 2 weeks vs every few days. I am not sure why I didn’t get this to begin with.

Cleans like it says

I’ve bought two of these tank drop-in “cleaners”, and yes it does prevent microbes, bacteria and mildew from ruining your humidifier. It also makes your filter last a lot longer. In the instructions it says it prevents the buildup of mineral deposits by attracting them to the cartridge rather than clogging your humidifier. This particular cartridge can be used in tanks up to 2 gallons in size and used for up to 30 days. If you don’t use your humidifier that much, you can take it out and let it dry, but only for a total of 30 days. Let’s say you only use the cartridge for a week, well then just take it out and let it dry and you got 23 more days of use out of it, however you want to use it. One week on, one week off whatever works for you, but like I said above only for a total of 30 days.

Happy with product, not happy with the seller

I bought this product because I was sick and tired of having to wash and soak my humidifier and filter with bleach every week, just to find out that mold was growing in the filter a few days later. This product is great. No mold and it smells clean.

Since this is not an expensive product, I bought a replacement filter from the same seller (buy-it-now) as well because it said it was a Holmes filter: it is actually a generic one. It works, but I am not happy with the false advertising. I disliked a lot that I purchased those 2 items at the same time and I was charged DOUBLE shipping because shipping charges apply to every item purchased, so I will NOT buy from this seller again.

And precisely today, I found this exact same product at my local Rite-Aid… arrrrrrgh…
