Breastfeeding mothers know that let-down can occur at the most inopportune times. It can be triggered by missing a scheduled feeding, hearing a baby crying (whether your own or someone else’s), or even just thinking about your baby. And, of course, leaks always seems to happen when you’re in the middle of an important business presentation or wearing your best silk dress at a friend’s wedding. These extra absorbent disposable nursing pads have a soft, comfortable lining that rests against the skin. The lining draws excess moisture away from skin and into a polymer core in the center. A laminated waterproof lining against your clothing prevents milk from getting any further. The pads are incredibly thin (2 mm) and contoured like a breast, so they don’t look stiff or unnatural under clothing. Adhesive tape on the back of each pad secures it to undergarments to keep it from shifting during the day. Each pad comes individually wrapped for hygienically transporting them in a briefcase or diaper bag.

These nursing pads are the most expensive I have seen, but they are worth the money if you leak excessively. They are amazingly absorbent.[...]. But if you don’t leak much, you may prefer a smaller, more discreet pad.
As for the polymer beads being left on your skin (as the other review indicated), I suspect this is because she is not changing them often enough. I haven’t had that problem at all. As soon as I notice they are at all wet, I change them. That isn’t to say I haven’t slept with them and woken up with them completely saturated – still haven’t seen that problem. Maybe it’s the lanolin, which I don’t use now that my baby has a good latch. Anyway, the beads are a pain if you accidentally rip the pad, which I’ve done once. It’s like sand everywhere. You have to be kind of careless to rip them, but as new moms know, sometimes you are rushed and holding your little one at the same time you are changing your nursing pads.
These pads cover a larger surface area than others I’ve tried. However, they adhere to your bra rather than form to your breasts. This has only been a problem for me at night when I shift and the pads don’t shift with me. They are large enough that it is usually okay, but not always.
They also keep my skin drier than others, which is necessary for breast health, but you still need to change them once they are wet.

I have an OALD and am constantly leaking, so nursing pads are a MUST for me. Lansinoh pads are great! I’ve never had a leak except when I don’t put it back on correctly after feeding. These pads do the job and are cheaper than Medela which also works well. The price is even better w/ Amazon’s Subscribe and Save.

I love my Lansinoh nursing pads and don’t know what I’d do without them! They’re especially great for the newborn stage, when your supply isn’t quite regulated and some moms leak quite heavily.
The slight curve to the pad helps them fit properly in your bra without bunching up (like some of the flat pads do), and the gel is super-absorbent. I don’t think I’ve ever actually leaked while wearing these (and for me, that’s saying something!). The pads are also quite thin, and I don’t have issues with them showing through my shirt.
The individual wrappers are a bit of a pain, and seem rather wasteful (I hate excessive packaging!), but I suppose if you’re putting some of these in your purse or diaper bag, it comes in handy.
