The kids are really enjoying this. (although- the 5 yr old is a bit impatient) They can hardly wait to rinse the stones for the next step. Only criticism— the directions did not indicate (by photo or diagram) where to oil, but on-line, I was able to find a website that helped. Strongly suggest that specific directions be included about where exactly to oil around the axis. We are very satisfied!

This process takes seven days. I bought it for my four year old grand daughter who loves rocks, and this is a very long drawn out process that is not fun for kids. Overall the idea is nice and the rocks are beautiful, if you have a child who can withstand delayed gratification.

I had unrealistic goals when I bought this. Really, no one wants the home made jewelry you make from polished stones. Or almost no one outside of your immediate family. Don’t plan on selling this stuff you make, or at least don’t quit your day job.
