I had read many critiques of this canner and decided to buy one. It took just a few days for Amazon to ship so in the meantime I tried to cancel the order as I had gotten cold feet and wasn’t sure I must be spending a lot on a canner. By the point I attempted to cancel the order it was too late and the canner was shipped later that day. Boy am I ever glad I used to be unable to cancel the order. It’s so easy to use and holds so much and is very easy to use. I have an old Nationwide canner from the 40′s that was my moms and although it really works nice, it is not nearly as straightforward to use because the All American.

I was contemplating packing it again and returning after reading the attached manual. It states that no arduous beans should be cooked in this strain cooker. That was my motive for buying it. After some investigations I found that including 1/four cup of canola or different oil takes care of the foaming issue. It did the trick. It performed very well. I left beans in it for three or four hours to let them cool off. They had been softest ever.
In any other case the device is very solidly built. It ought to handle many loads of beans and generate lasting pressure.

I bought this SportDOG Bark Collar last year from Amazon because my Cocker/Springer Spaniel continuously barked when other dogs walked by the house and the Mailman/FedEx and UPS Driver came (which happens every day for us). It is very effective. I did feel bad at first because he yelped pretty loudly, then got depressed because he couldn’t bark at everything in sight. But now, all I have to do is say “I’m getting your bark collar” he stops barking BEFORE I put it on and now he NEVER barks when it’s on. He doesn’t want to get shocked. It works perfectly. I just ordered 2 more of these collars for my other 2 dogs. We work from home and it is extremely unprofessional to have barking dogs in the background. I’m not sure why I waited. I know this is weird to say, but the only thing that doesn’t thrill me is the bright orange color. I was thinking of attacking jewels on it or fabric or something, but it is not that big of a deal.

I ordered this Advantage II for Cats for my six cats after I discovered a flea on one of them (they are indoor cats…go figure). I haven’t seen another one and have not gotten any bites, so I think it is safe to say we are no where near infestation levels or anything. It’s been about a week and all seems well. No adverse effects either, thank goodness.

A few days ago we brought in a kitten that was dumped near our home. She is covered with fleas–poor baby. We are keeping her in a separate room from the rest of the gang but are aware how easily a flea could hop a ride into the rest of the house. So far no evidence of fleas on my other cats. (Little Annie is doing well now, in case you were curious. She was in pretty bad shape. Skin and bones, dirty, dehydrated. She is happily playing in her room now )

I will definitely update my review if the product appears to fail over the next week.

Of note: I bought this directly from Amazon and not a merchant. With all the counterfeit flea medicine going around, I just didn’t dare buy from a regular seller.

Wow my cat would not eat her food if I added fish oil, supplements, cranberry powder or lysine to it. I tried masking them with very strong chicken stock and she wouldn’t touch it until there was almost no supplement left in the food. I even added a sprinkle of catnip. No go!
Added a half a capsule of this Cosequin for Cats and that pinch of catnip and she gobbled it down like she was starving. I was later able to add the fish oil etc…
The only criticism I have is that it would be better to not put it into capsules but just the powder. I have a ton of ways to measure that and it would cut down on the packaging and possible the cost. More product for the buck.

I’ve bought a few strathwood products over the years and its always the same story. Sometimes you get something great, made perfectly, no dents or scraps, and other times you get something all dented, scrapped, warped, screw holes in wrong place etc… So it’s always a gamble buying a strathwood product. Overall I would say 66% of the time strathwood gives you something good, but its that 33% you need to watch out for and make sure you have a good return policy.

So I rolled the dice and bought this firepit, and luckily I’m pleased with it. I would say its 90% put together well, there were a few screw holes slightly off which made the legs slightly crooked, but nothing that was too noticeable. It just made assembly a little more difficult than normal. Overall the firepit came in excellent condition, no scraps or dents, packaging was good. Because of the slightly off screw holes the firepit lid doesnt fit smuggly in place, but it’s off by centimeters so maybe im being too picky.

As far as features, I’m disappointed that the lid has holes in it. That is according to design, but its dumb. Because of the holes whenever it rains the copper base fills up with water. There is a grill with the fire pit but its useless. It sits about 2 inches from the bottom, so what can you burn and then put the grill on top of? Absolutely nothing!

Overall, I’m pleased with it. Strathwood St. Thomas Cast-Aluminum Round Table with Fire Pit looks very nice, it’s functional as a firepit. I wish the copper bowl was deeper, that would be a big plus.

One last thing, the product says if you have issues, contact Yotrio. Yotrio may be the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. I once bought an umbrella from Yotrio and had issues and it took 4 months and constant aggregation to resolve. I am not sure if Yotrio is supporting all strathwood products now, but be warned that Yotrio is not a good company to deal with directly.
