This Samsung UN55D7000 TV has met all my expectations – great picture, great web content, great design! I had just given up on a similar Sony unit, and returned it, as nothing seemed to work as advertised. Only complaint is that the Querty remote does not come with the unit – you have to send in a coupon, and wait for 4-8 weeks…. OTHERWISE, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Amazon’s delivery service works great also – corteuos and professional – on time, as promised.

Samsung UN55D700 LED TV’s Delivery was excellent, freight company was very careful with boxed TV. Unit powered up great, would suggest having WiFi connected. TV needs to update firmware, will do automatic after Web connection.

Picture is excellent and very clear. I would recommend this Samsung UN55D7000 set to anyone.

I just installed our brand new tv a few days ago and already love Samsung UN55D8000!

We’ve had a couple HDTVs before, but the picture quality on this Samsung UN55D8000 is miles above and beyond anything we have ever seen before. You can see little details on the screen you never would have noticed before – from smudges in people’s eye make up, to individual pieces of grass moving in the wind. Since we don’t have our sound system hooked up yet, we have been able to test out the built in speakers. For such an incredibly skinny tv (less than 2 inches!) the sound quality is very good. I would still recommend getting a sound system to go with it so you can get better range of sound. But if you do not already own one and don’t want to shell out the money, the speakers on this sucker will do fine.

Samsung’s “Smart Hub” internet features are wonderful as well. Very intuitive and easy to use. We’ve already utilized the Pandora and Netflix apps, and are excited to play with others. The double sided Qwerty remote it comes with makes both typing in the apps, and normal tv viewing incredibly easy.

We haven’t tried out the 3D yet – I’ll come back to update how Samsung UN55D8000 looks once we do.

The only complaint I have is the frameless style. We have the tv on a cantilever wall-mount, and without a frame, everytime we adjust the tv, we end up getting smudges on the screen.

Overall, we’ve very pleased with this tv; Samsung UN55D8000 is versatile and the picture is downright amazing.

LG 42LK520 has good features, nice resolution and refresh rate and LG 42LK520 42-Inch LCD TV is not expensive compared to other brands. The esthetics about how the on/of lights could be improved, but that is just minor cosmetic stuff that nobody besides me cares about. Over all, great TV. Recommended LG 42LK520 Best Buy.

I upgraded to this LG 42LK520 LCD TV from a 3 year old 720p Dynex LCD. The picture is excellent for all types of shows including sports and the sound very good. LG 42LK520 TV has enough configuration options so you can get it just right for your viewing environment, source, and type of show. The remote has short-cut buttons to allow you change many settings without having to first navigate through the menu. The printed Quick Start Guide doesn’t cover many of the configuration settings but it comes with a CD which has the complete user’s manual.

As for value Amazon had LG 42LK520 For Sale at less than $60 then the local big box store, and with free shipping.

The only possible negative I’ve found is that it only has 2 HDMI in ports. It does have a component In though.

I am still getting use to the features but as far as picture quality. Panasonic VIERA TC-P42G25 IS SUPER DUPER NICE.On the Hd channels I can see every detail from the people’s Eye color down to every wrinkle on their face!! HIGHLY recommended tv for people who are intersted in realistic picture/theatre movie quality.

This Panasonic VIERA TC-P42G25 is an excellent TV. I have it set up to a basic antenna to receive broadcast television programs. Many of the broadcasts are in HD and the picture is remarkable. I also have it set up to the PS3 and I have watched a bluray program and a DVD. I have not had this TV a week yet and everything I have played so far on it is outstanding. I never imagined the picture to be this good prior to my purchase. I went mostly based on peoples reviews on amazon and pro reviews on CNET. The only thing I dislike is the VIERA-cast. I hit the button by accident on my remote occasionally and this annoying screen comes up. I think the VIERA-cast is a gimmick in order to push netflix. This Panasonic VIERA TC-P42G25 is a minor issue. The Panasonic VIERA TC-P42G25 TV is wonderful. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high end television.

I was tasked to find a new TV to play my games on, and quickly decided that I wanted better black levels and response for games. After setting this Panasonic VIERA TC-P42G25 TV up, aging the panel 100 hours, and calibrating via an AVS Forum thread for Panasonic Plasma settings, all I can say is “Wow”. Although I’m only using this TV for my Xbox at the moment, the picture is just awesome. It makes my 2 LCDs seem dull and washed out, and one of them is an XBR9! Once my LCDs are ready to go, they’ll definitely get replaced with plasmas. The picture just can’t be beat. Delivery was very fast and free with Prime.

I haven’t noticed any of the “floating black levels” that others have complained about, and the only “negative” I can really come up with is that the TV itself isn’t dead silent due to slight “buzzing” that the panel makes. However, it’s unnoticeable when actually using the TV. Don’t regret this Panasonic VIERA TC-P42G25 purchase one bit!

when i originally got this set i noticed quite a bit of clouding on the left corners and on the right side there was about a 6 inch strip of clouding from top to bottom… i tried my best to get the issue worked out with all the different settings but nothing worked… Samsung LN55C650 was only noticeable when the screen was completely black, during dark scenes, or while watching widescreen movies you could notice the difference in blacks on the bars at the top and bottom of the screen… i tried to deal with it but it was too much for me… my lnt4671f has no issues like this so i expected the same… i contacted amazon about the issue and they quickly sent me a replacement, no hassles at all… amazon has always been top notch for me on customer service so i wouldn’t hesitate to purchase anything from them… i did some researching on this set and found out that they use quite a few different panels for this Samsung LN55C650 tv… the first one i had was an aa02 panel and the replacement was an sq01 panel which is built by samsung themselves… right out of the box there seemed to be a little inconsisteny on solid black screens but this was easily resolved by changing the settings… the sq01 panel i have now has much better blacks and overall uniformity as compared to my experience with the aa02 panel… this issue may not be traceable to a certain panel but is just my experience… if you get a good unit then this is a fantastic looking Samsung LN55C650 tv, especially for the money… if you do happen to get one that you aren’t satisfied with then i’m sure between amazon and samsung you can get everything resolved

I bought this Samsung LN55C650 unit when it first came out so I’ve had at least six months of experience. The TV is excellent and here’s my brief list of pros & cons:

Pros

- Excellent Picture Quality.
- Fast changing tuner (I use OTA and Cable directly into the TV using a Winegard Video A/B switch)
- Tuner deciphers cable channels allowing bypass of cable STB.
- Anynet integration is very good.
- PC Connection works great
- Content media works great. Just create three folders on your USB stick called Pictures, Videos, and Music and the TV is able to handle the media just fine.
- Built-in Netflix.
- Built-in Pandora, YouTube, and other internet content features.

Cons
- Slow to turn on (about 5-7 seconds from the time the power button is pressed before anything happens).
- Sleep timer begins at 30min (should consider 15 min increments).
- Remote reception is poor beyond 10 feet (causing stretched out arms and pointing the remote toward the TV).
- Lack of variable sound on the external 3mm sound port (meaning you cannot control the master sound on the 3mm external port using the TV remote).
- Netflix sometimes freezes. This is a TV issue since I’ve tried using a Samsung Blueray player with Netflix on the same internet connection (connected to the same TV) and do not experience picture freezing.

I purchased this Toshiba 55UX600U TV last Friday during the Black Friday countdown. Toshiba 55UX600U was more than I was planning to spend, but at the countdown price was a very good deal. As an old retired geezer, this has enough features to keep me going a few years and that is another reason I purchased Toshiba 55UX600U. I used free shipping and the shipping folks brought it yesterday, set it up in less than ten minutes, including the stand. I hooked the sat cable to the side and plugged her in. Wow…great picture right out of the box. I am comparing my old TV, a Toshiba 46″ HD I bought in 2004 at a Sears Black Friday 4 hour sale for $995.00 (that’s 1,150.00 in current dollars). Significant difference in picture….much better. Fairly simple menu and remote even for an old guy. Hooked up the wii and games seem better. If this Toshiba 55UX600U TV serves me as well as the 46″ has (I am passing it along to another family member) I will be more than happy. I have not noticed any of the problems a few other posts talked about. But again, sometimes you get a bad individual unit and sometimes you get poor service. My experience with Amazon has been excellent. Have been buying mostly on line for the past four or five years and Amazon in particular has consistently given me a good product at a good price.

This VIZIO E550VL is a good, low priced VIZIO E550VL TV, no frills but a good basic big TV. The problems the other reviews talk about, with video lag and processing that takes away the film-look bothered me right away as well, and give the images a very weird effect. I thought maybe it was just me, or I wasn’t used to a good quality picture, but whatever it was was not good. I really noticed it with fast motion sports, a football in the air was jittery and choppy. But there is a solution – on the second page of the TV Picture setting (select “more” at the bottom of the first Picture screen) there is a setting called Smooth Motion. Turn it off, and turn the Smooth Motion DEMO off. Problem solved, no more lag, jitters, and the film grain is back in the image.

We love this VIZIO E550VL TV! I’m not sure why the other reviewers are having problems. We are a TV family. We have a VIZIO E550VL TV in almost every room. We have had Panasonic, Tosheba, Samsung, Phillips and RCA. This VIZIO E550VL is the best TV we have ever had. Blu-Ray shines!! PS3 Rocks! HD is F-ing awsome!

Being new Samsung LN40C630 to HDTV I hooked up my TV myself, very simple using the provided stand. My DVD’s looked great but my Samsung LN40C630 TV was lousy. After a week fiddling with the setup, I realized I wasn’t getting HD TV from my cable provider. Once I called COMCAST, and got HD TV, I was amazed at the clarity. I like the Picture size button, as I can watch video without distortion although I don’t always use the 16:9 choice. The screen is filled and everyone looks natural. This set lacks a video output for my VCR, so I can’t record VHS tapes, a definite negative. So I’ll give it 4 stars.

I chose this Samsung LN40C630 mainly because of my prior positive experience with a Samsung LN52A750, which I purchased 21 months ago from Amazon and am still very happy with. I purchased this Samsung LN40C630 for my bedroom and it fits in just right size-wise. After two weeks of use, I have not been disappointed with either the picture or other performance aspects. I set it to Movie Mode and Warm2 Picture Mode, which seem to suit my tastes for natural-looking colors. Unlike my LN52, which is connected to a 5.1 surround audio system in my living room, I am using the on-board speaker system on this LN40 TV. I wasn’t sure if I would be happy with the audio quality but it is just fine for my bedroom needs. I even turn up the volume quite a bit when I am using my stationary exercise bike and it works great. My only disappointment audio-wise is the lack of a headphone jack, so I can listen in privacy or not have to turn it up so loud when I exercise. My earlier LN52A750 has this feature but Samsung must have decided to delete this on some newer models. This wasn’t a surprise as I researched this before my purchase and still went with Samsung because of my good past experience. The lack of the headphone jack is the only reason I rated this Samsung LN40C630 4 stars, as otherwise it is an excellent Samsung LN40C630 TV.

As far as Amazon’s customer service, I couldn’t be happier. Both of my Samsung TVs were shipped quickly and arrived in good condition. The smaller Samsung LN40C630 was delivered to just inside my front door where I unpacked it and set it up myself, which was no problem at all. Although Samsung’s instructions say that it’s a two-person job to lift the TV and assemble it to the base, I managed just fine doing it alone. I then moved the TV to my bedroom alone, which was no problem as total weight is about 40 lbs with the base. Any larger TV would probably be too unwieldy to lift and move alone. (I had the white-glove delivery and set-up service with my LN52, thank goodness, as I live alone.)

First Samsung PN42C450 TV arrived w spider web cracks on the glass screen. (Plasmas ARE more delicate and really do need to be kept uprightor heavy glass plates will crack.) Amazon was very responsive and sent me another through a different shipping company and it arrived quickly and in perfect condidtion. Had been set on an LCD but began comparing to my dad’s Panasonic 50″ plasma and really was a clear choice after that. This Samsung PN42C450 (Samsung PN42450) plasma beats any LCD I’ve seen with one stipulation: I watch almost all my TV and movies at night, in a dark room. Unbeatble TV Samsung PN42C450 that’s your enviro. Colors, clarity superb. If you watch in a well lit room or one with a lamp reflecting off screen, I probably wouldn’t go with a plasma.

This Samsung PN42C450 is my first HDTV. There was nothing wrong with the 10 year old 19 inch tube TV in the bedroom but PN42C450 was time for a change. I was searching and analyzing for months and months between LCD, Plasma, screen sizes, features, etc. I finally made the plunge into the 21st Century and I bought this based on my research & personal needs.

Setting up out of the box was so simple it took me about 10 minutes to get a picture on it. First of all, the way it was boxed was great. All you have to do is undo a couple of plastic releases towards the bottom of the box and the bottom of the box opens and the TV slides out safely. The TV slides onto the stand and the 4 screws went in a bit too easy. A Philips head screwdriver was used to secure the TV to the base with no problem whatsoever. The TV is only about 45 pounds (including the stand) so it lifted easily onto my bedroom dresser drawers.

At first I only hooked up my standard def cable box & VCR to Samsung PN42C450 through the coaxle input. The VCR picture & sound could have been better but that is to be expected (will have to work on that). The TV also has 3 HDMIs (1 on the side & 2 on the back), 2 component jacks (both on the back) one of which shares the composite A/V jacks, PC input (on the back) & a USB (on the side). I will play around with the PC input down the road sometime. As I said this whole process took about 10 minutes from opening the box to watching TV and I did everything myself. The standard def picture through the cable box (Verizon FIOS) is so amazing I may never upgrade to a high def cable box. I later hooked up an old DVD player and once again, the picture & audio was perfect. The audio is sensational and goes from 1 to 100. I’m keeping it on 30 or so and it feels like we are in a movie theater. Our heads are about 9-10 feet away from the TV. There is no hissing noise we noticed as others did. We are blown away by the quality of the video & sound and there was no need for us to tinker with the settings although there are tons of them should you desire. The remote is easy to use but for the most part we use the cable remote for most features and only use the TV remote for the sleep timer and the source changing.

Some very, very, very minor drawbacks. First, the sleep timer starts with 30 minutes and goes to 60, 90, etc. I wish Samsung PN42C450 started with 10 or 15 like my previous TVs. Second, it only has one composite jack (A/V) that shares one of the 2 component jacks. It should really have one more on the side for convenience sake. Third, beware of bright rooms & windows as this reflects off the screen and is a bit distracting. Fourth, the base does not swival so getting to the back of the TV is not easy once you have it in place. But I can live with these minor inconveniences.

This Samsung 42 inch plasma HDTV (Samsung PN42C450) is worth double the great price we paid for it ($431 @ PC Richard). Register the TV on the Samsung site and get an extra 3 months warranty. Don’t wait like I did, go out and get one of these today–you won’t be disappointed. PS: Now my wife wants me to get an even bigger HDTV for our living room (we have a 25 inch tube TV that is probably 15 years old) which is really bright. So let the search begin…”
