Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT GPS This is an upgraded from previous Garmin Nuvi 760 which is also a nice GPS unit but require an extra cost for maps update after the first year. On other hand, I just love the new Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT come with free Update Lifetime Maps & Traffic is a big plus and that is the only reason why I purchased the Nuvi 1450LMT. The Nuvi 1450LMT screen size is a little bit larger and has more nice preloaded features. The unit most stand out feature is a speaker volume only use 50% and is much more louder than previous Nuvi 760 where I have to crank up the volume all the way to 90%-100% in order to be heard, not to mention the combine outside traffic noises. However, I’m planning on to keep this unit with me all the time when I am traveling . I would highly recommended this unit and the seller to a friend.

Works reasonably well. I haven’t ever used a different GPS, so my review might need to be taken with a grain of salt.
I have been testing this device fairly extensively in the area around my house. For the most part, the Garmin gives me good directions. Occasionally the turning lane indicator will indicate a left turn while the map indicates a right turn. So far the map has been correct, rather than the turn indicator. The GPS occasionally also directs me on detours through housing complexes when trying to lead me from one road to another. So far these detours have been amusing.
It is annoying that I do not appear to be able to sort my saved addresses. It would be very useful to be able to sort by name or frequency of use rather than by the order in which the addresses were entered.
The touch screen is not as sensitive as I would like. I often feel that I am jabbing the screen quite hard.
The search function is also not optimal. It is very slow, and often misses things entirely that can be turned up in a less than 5 second google search. I am finding that the best way to use this GPS is to have the address of my destination in hand and have the GPS find the address.
Other than that it has been working well. I am looking forward to using it on a series of trips out of state over the next few months.

Garmin nuvi 3790LMT For Sale This is my first refurbished GPS and I have to say, it’s much better than a brand new one. The last 3790LMT I purchased took forever to start up, to find satellites, and to calculate routes (usually 5 minutes each time). It also had a terrible bluetooth and rarely understood my voice using voice command. But this unit is fast and all of the features work! I love the voice command which makes it so I can navigate without touching the screen and the speed at which it finds satellites and plans my route is faster than any GPS I have ever had. I am never buying a new system again because the refurbished really worked out the bugs, cost less, and still has a 1 year warranty. Oh, and best of all, you can disable the ads on this model (the traffic updates never helped me anyway).

I recently purchased this Garmin GPSMAP 62S to go Geocaching across America- The accuracy of this device is outstanding, often within 3-4 feet of the Geocache. Garmin GPSMAP 62S GPS Navigator is capable of downloading Cache spots from the web, which means that there is very little extra work to do when looking. Even when a cache requires some calculation/puzzle solving, entry of the new co-ordinates has taken us directly to the site we were aiming for. Garmin GPSMAP 62S is Very good product for a casual geocasher. I also hope to use the features for camping/backpacking/hiking. Battery life is outstanding, Energizer lithium will net at least 8 hours or more of continuous use. The color display is great for tracking different routes and figuring out where to go next.

The GPSMAP 62S For Sale is really a nice unit. The screen is very easily read in direct daylight.
The only detraction is the Tide Charts (Oregon coast) are so far off they are unusable. I spoke to Garmin and they are going to look into the problem. As others have stated the base maps are not worth much, but the unit will upload 1.7 GB of maps, and also hold a 4 GB card that between the two will hold quite a lot of mapping.

I’ve had the Garmin Nuvi 265 W/T 4.3in. GPS for over a month now and can say that I like everything about it except the speaker. It’s fine when the unit is talking (giving turn by turn directions etc.) but when using it for phone calls the person I am speaking with says they can hear me fine, but their voice is very tinny sounding and hard to understand! The turn by turn directions are great! Garmin nüvi 265W/265WT seems to be very accurate in getting to a destination as well. I had no problem uploading the software updates from Garmin’s website after receiving the unit. I like and have used several times the points of interest feature, even in my own town to find the closest restaurant to where I happened to be. I also used it to help a stranded motorist to find a towing service phone # one night. Overall I think this is a great, affordable GPS unit that I would recommend to friend. As far as the tinny sounding bluetooth speaker, it is usable as long as the windows are rolled up, radio off and the fan turned down to low! Then again I didn’t buy it for it’s bluetooth capabilities, I bought Garmin nüvi 265W/265WT for it’s GPS abilities, which I think are outstanding! everything else is just extra.

Easy user interface. Acquires satellite lock faster than the other TomTom. Traffic updates are accurate for major highways. Lane assistance is a great feature. The only drawback is it’s mount. It slides off the glass very easily.

Actually I was impressed.. I have 2 other gps’s at the moment.. I have upgraded the maps on the other two.. but I have to hack them to get them updated.. that is why I bought this one.. Lifetime Map updates… I don’t have to worry about finding new maps every time I turn around. I havn’t used it as much lately.. I have been riding my motorcycle, I have put one of my older ones on it. I would love to use this one.. but I am leary of the EZ-mount.. I would hate to lose the GPS over a big bump.

I love the screen size, and the menus.. I even have my truck as the 3d pointer. I am thinking of a trip this summer so I will have plenty of time to test it out more.

Nice big screen

This is the first GPS device I’ve owned. I bought it mainly because of the screen size, at 4.7″, which is large enough to use the touch commands and to see with ease. I was a little disappointed that the price dropped right after I purchased it, but I like it overall. I do wish that there were more options on the speaking voice, though.

Overall… Really Helpful

My husband is not good at pushing buttons, so the voice command feature is one reason that we picked this unit. The voice command features are not really helpful enough to bother to use it. The clarity of the large display is very good in light and dark conditions. He traveled from Tennessee to Montana and back. Sometimes it got confused and didn’t recalculate and would tell him to get off at each exit. He probably should have turned the unit off and back on to reset it. It was a great help going through St. Louis and Kansas City and Nashville during rush hour. The feature that tells you which lane to get in is really helpful. I took it to Houston and used it to get around. For the most part it worked flawlessly. We met someone who knew their way around Houston, so we turned the GPS off. Funny thing is… the GPS still gave commands after powering down. Overall, we are satisfied with its performance.

Don’t get lost, get a Garmin

First of all I would like to offer congrats to Amazon, Product arrived 2 days before the tracking date, cudoo’s..and free shipping to boot.

Really this product was so simple to use even my wife got it right out of the box. The graphics are very good and the volume is great, I don’t hear well so that is a plus.

This is my first GPS so I really don’t know what to compare it to, but for what I want it’s great, simple and very easy to use.

I don’t intend to download and update , from what I have read, most people do it wrong then fault the product. I will get a plug in charger now seeing that none came with it, that way you can play and get used to it without fear of going dead. Also there is a very helpful video on you tube, just search you tube for Garmin 260W tutorial. By the way there is a car charger so don’t worry you can charge it while driving !!!

Garmins are great

The Garmin Nuvi line is awesome. I had a different Garmin line previously, and then got rid of it, and I thought well, I won’t need one, so I’ll wait awhile to get another. Man, you never realize how nice those things are to have until you don’t have one and you are driving around like a doof trying to find a location. These things have gotten so cheap that there is no reason not to have one.

I borrowed a friends GPS once, and man was the platform different. I can’t remember the product manufacturer, but it was one of the other big gps names, and it was horrible. Garmin has gone out of its way to make sure these are easy to use, very user compatible, and really reliable. I recommend these to all of my friends. Big screen, good directions. Ease of use. 9 out of 10.

Very Impressive

I purchased the 255W for my Mom. She loves it and it got me thinking about how much I should upgrade from my old unit. The 265WT has the same features as the 255W, with the addition of bluetooth phone support and lifetime traffic. I was looking to purchase a hands-free bluetooth device anyway, so this was killing two birds with one stone, so to speak. Turns out, really nice to have these feature in one compact unit. The traffic appears to be wrong enough times that I consider it unreliable. No matter, extremely easy to use, many online features, a great unit at a great price. Worth the increase over the 255W just for the bluetooth alone.

Navigation can be a little confusing at times…for instance if you’re making a left turn and the road swings to the right it will tell you to make a left and then an immediate right. I’m still much better off using it than not. Maybe the next softwear upgrade the programmers could get a few glitches out

This Garmin nuvi 265WT is excellent, we recently visited Daytona Beach, and it took me where we wanted to go. It was very precise, we could go anywhere we wanted with out getting lost or turned around in the city. This is the best thing I ever purchased. I can now take a lot of trips with out worrying if we will get lost in a city. This is great, try it, you cant go wrong with the Garmin nuvi 265WT.
