I use the 3M 1860 N95 respirator for mowing the lawn, and it is great. I’m allergic to the grass, as well as other debris from the lawn mower. Without a respirator (or even WITH one that doesn’t filter as well) I have trouble breathing afterward. This is just the product for me.

After much study of the prospect of a pandemic flu outbreak (Avian H5N1 or otherwise) in the future, I would highly recommend placing this product in your emergency supply kit. According to the Centers for Disease Control, only respirators with an N-95 rating or higher would be effective in helping to limit your chances of contracting an influenza virus.
